If … relates the notion of multiple universes (multiverse) to the fractal structure of tree branches.
Each event corresponds to a branch that opens a new universe.
The symmetrical aspect of the piece is an extrapolation of what might have existed before the big bang, and also questions the direction of the arrow of time. Where is the past and where is the future?
